Stock Market. 'lke New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report for ■week ending 11th inst. as under : —At -Saßgiwahia there was only a small yarding of skeep and a medium one of cattle. Bidding was dull, but a good c learance was effected. At Apiti there was a good entry of sheep and a large one of cattle. Competition was active for all classes of stock considering the state of outside markets. At Feilding we had good entries of both sheep and cattle. In consequence of the dry weather bidding for sheep and in a lesser degree for cattle was not keen. Quotations : Kangiwakia : 2 tooth wethers 111 Gd, yearling heifers 17s, 2 year empty heifers £2 ss, steers 38s, year steers £3 12s Gd, fat cows £3 5s to £-1 Is, weaners 13s. Mr A. H. Atkinson and Co. report: —At the clearing sale held on Thursday on behalf of Mr Wra. Line, at Kiwitea, we had a very good attendance from all round the district and a few outside buyers. The stock were in good condition and elicited brisk competition, the sale resulting in an excellent clearance. Sundries at top prices. Feilding Market. Messrs Atkinson & Co. reportA good {yarding of pigs, mostly of firstclass quality, came to hand on Friday. The continued dry weather has affected the market considerably, and values dropped a good deal. An average entry of inferior poultry was difficult to quit. Potatoes continue to case oil, other produce lines at late rates.
