AN AFRICAN INCIDENT.
. Press Association—-Copyright. Kome, January 7. Regarding Marini, the Abyssinian outlaw who, in April last, raided a number of Soudanese villages, II Messagero, Rome, states that Lieutenant Pollera was sent to Noggera, within the Italian sphere, to inquire into the raids and acquitted the natives. The British Government, however, dissatisfied at the result, had the Chief of Noggera arrested after insisting on. this course, at Adisabeba, the Abyssinian capital, and obtaining Lieutenant Pollera’s departure. La Tribuna says that Pollera was simply recalled and there is no divergence of feeling over the incident between Britain and Italy.
