Twelve thousand people, in addition to those already mentioned in ■the cables, viewed the body of the late Baroness Burdett-Couts at Stratton- street. London, January G. Spectators thronged the whole of the route of the funeral from the residence of the Into Baroness Burdett-Contts in Stratton street to Westminster Abbey. She was buried at the foot of Lord Shaftesbury’s memorial. Prince Francis Took, the Dukes of Wellington and Argyll, Lord Peel, and Mr Herbert Gladstone were among the pallbearers. The King and Queen and Prince of Wales wore represented, and many political leaders were also present.
