Ihe acute shortage of houses in Pukokohe was further revealed at Wednesday night’s meeting of the Borough Council, when a native named Tohi Kuri of Waikato, wrote stating that he was unable to get a house for his family to live in in Pukekohe and applied for permission to erect a whare and camp on the piece of Springs Road leading from Seddon Street towards the dam on Mr. Hickey’s property.—On the motion of the Mayor, the application i was refused.
