A CAR FOR THE VICAR.
(To the Editot). Sir,—Surely the many residents of Pukekohe—at least the merahe: s of our Church of England—could subscribe for a more comfortable method of getting about than a bicycle, for our hard-worked and cr.ergctfc Vicar. Having so large a Parish to attend to, he is forced to be on the roads a great deal, and the heat of summer and wind of the winter, must make a bicycle anything but a comfortable o!r satisfactory method of transit. May I suggest, therefore, that his parishioners subscribe to a two-seater motor car for him. In liis capacity of Micar of our ChogcHf be has an important and responsible position, and . the discharge in full qr otherwise of his duties means a good deal to his parishioners. In their (interests, as well as his own, it seems to me only reasonable that they should do alh In their power to assist him -in his work.—l am, etc,, , A CHURCH-WOMAN.
