That there is a tremendous future ahead of Pukekohe and district no one will deny unless he is wilfully perverse. A splendid paddock of wheat, Just ready for the reaper, may be seen on the property of Mr John Schlaffer, just opposite the Paerata railway station. The crop has ripened rapidly with the recent warm weather, and the beautiful golden brown makes a picture too rarely seen in these parts. As a demonstration of the capabilities of the district, this crop is well worth inspection. Travellers past Hamilton often comment on tiie beautfiul flower beds to be seen at the railway station. This work is done by enthusiasts, under the aegis of the Hamilton Beautifying Society, It makes the entrance to the town attracive, and creates a very good impression. On a main line, with hundreds of passengers from all parts of the Dominion passing through daily, the opportunity should not he lost to create an impression of charm and beauty. It can bo done. What about it ! ,
