The best milk strainers to use are those having a cotton-wool diss as the filtering medium, placed between two fine gauze metal discs. After the milk has passed through the strainer it io taken apart for cleaning purposes and the cotton-wool disc burned. Unclean milk strainers are a fruitful source of milk contamination.
