NEW ZEALAND JERSEY BREEDERS' ASSOCIATION.

AUCKLAND BRANCH MEETING

The Auckland branch of the New Zealand Jersey Breeders' Association met in the Franklin A. and P. dociety's Oftice on Wednesday, whe.i there were present: Messrs. R. F. Wilkinson (president), C. R- Spragg, W. Le Bailley, Thos. Pollock, junr., E. Adams, J. Blake, W. Wright, W. T. Dazeley, D. Fulton, J. Fulton, and the secretary, Mr. D. R. Hamilton.

Letters of Thanks.

The Clevedon A. and P. Society wrote thanking the association for allotting prize-money for the society a forthcoming, show.—Received. A letter of thanks for prize-money for Jersey classes was also received liom the'Helensville A. and P. Association. —Received. Five Guineas f <\r Franklin.

The Franklin A. and P. Society wrote asking for contribution towards the prize list for the Jersey classes at the forthcoming show. On the motion of Messrs. Spragg pnd J. Fulton, it was decided to donate £5 5s for a special class for the best type of pedigree Jersey cow or heifer in milk.

Jersey Judging Competition.

Mr. C. R. Spragg signified his intention of donating £5 5s for a Jersey judging competition at the next Franklin show, competitors to place ".the cattle, and five written easons for doing so. The president moved, and Mr. u: Bailley seconded, that the offer be accepted with thanks.—Carried.

Another Donation.

Mr. Wilkinson intimated that he would donate £5 5s towards the Jersey classes at the next show. Accounts amounting to about £lO were passed for payment. On the motion of Messrs. D. Fulton and W. Le Bailley, the secretary was instructed to write and thank those who lent cattle for the field demonstration held last month.
