An interesting record of lucerne growing is reported from Cowra, N.S.W. Three years ago Mr. W. Mills purchased a 250-acre farm on the Lachlan River for £lO per acre. He planted 50 acres with lucerne, and within the last 12 months he made a profit of £SOOO. Last year, it is stated, the net return from 21 acres was £550 for seed taken from a crop of 11 weeks' growth.
