TWO WEAPONS FORWARDED.

Intimation has been received by the Mayor, Mr. C. K. Lawrie, from the Ordnance Officer of the Defence Department, that two Krupp German machine-guns, Nos. 3405 and 7216, •captured by the New Zealanders during the war, have been railed to-Pu-kekohe, and would shortly arrive. Speaking to the Mayor on the subject as to where the guns are to be placed, a, "Times" reporter was informed that upon arrival they would be temporarily stored at the rear of the borough offices until such time as the council had considered the matter and determined the most suitable locality to deposit the gift guns.
