WAR ON RABBITS.

COMPANY MAY BE FORMED.

RODIER SYSTEM FAVOURED.

Interviewed in London, Mr. George Jennison (Fellow of the Zoological Society) at the Bellevue Zoological Gardens, Manchester, stated that he was convinced by his experiments against rats, that the Rodier system was the most successful.

He is prepared to form a company in England for experiments against rabbits in Australia at his own expense, and asks the Commonwealth for facilities. He is enthusiastic, and says: "If unsuccessful we shall lose our money, but if successful, we shall ask the Government for a fair reward."

The Rodier system for the extermination of rabbits follows the plan of never destroying a buck labbit. though does are slaughtered without mercy. The bucks are released again as soon as captured, and the balance of nature being thus upset, the rabbits, it is claimed, eventually exterminate themselves.
