A meeting of the Fallen Soldiers' War Memorial Committee took place mi Wednesday last, the Mayor. Mr. C. K. Lawrie, presiding. It was reported that E4W was now hi hand .for-the erection of a sijitable memorial.

A sub-i'onuiiittcc •onsisiing of the Mavor, Cr. G. 11. Armstrong, Messrs H. Dell and 1. Perkins waii Let up to obtain the estimates of cost for the Leccsssury materials and to report at a future meeting of the committee.

It was unanimously decided to pro ceed with the work immediately.
