PUKEKOHE DISTRICT SCHOOL.
ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATION. The important, matter of the pro- | posed substantial additions to the Pui kekohe District Primary School (as reported in the "Times" last Tues day) came up for at a committee meeting on Tuesday night, when there were present: Messrs. F. Perkins (chairman), J. G. Ward, J. F. Morrow, J. Russell, M. Shaw, W. Wyatt, F. Brown and J. Patterson. An apology for absence was received from Mr. J. W. Johns. The lengthy communication in reference to the opening of the Pukekohe Technical High School was rdso i-ead and taken in conjunction with the first-mentioned letter, both cf which matters were reported in last Tuesday's "Times." The chairman enlarged on the desirability of impressing upon parents the unsurpassed advantages the new High School would possess for scholars in this district, from Papakura southwards. The suggested improvement of the train service to Papakura, whereby the Thames express leaving Pukekohe at 3.40 p.m. would stop at Papakura, was heartily appt uved of, and the secretary was instructed to write to the Minister for Railways and also the Traffic Manager on the subject; also* the Prime Minister and the Ministers for Education and Agriculture be invited to ba present at the opening ceremony on February 3, 1921.
