DISTRICT NEWS.
| IYIAUKU. J ST. BRIDES CHURCH. The annual meeting of St. Bride's (Anglican) Church was held on Thursday evening last, the vicar, the Rev. J. Fussell, presiding. There was a lair attendance of parishioners. The treasurer, Mr. A. E. Wright, presented the balance-sheet, which was adaopted. The following officers were elected: Vicar's church-warden, Mr. T. B. Bailey; people's church-warden, Mr. E. Rowe; vestry, Mrs. Wright and Messrs. Cutfield, Cornthwaite, Crispe, 3. Roue, J. F. Davies and U. Davies; treasurer, Mr. A. E. Wright. Mr. S. E. Pilgrim, the outgoing vicar's warden, who had been for more : than 40 years an office-bearer of St. I Bride's Church, asked to be excused j from giving further service. ! The question of a separation from I Waiuku, and the creation of Maukii Ihi to a separate parochial district, ' which has been in the air some time, ! was discussed at some length, and i the incoming vestry were instructed ito further deal with it.
