ARROWSMITH 'PHONE 111. STRANGE EVIDENCE, I 500,000 BLOOD SUCKERS AT "WORK. The other day on a farm not a hundred miles from Auckland a milking cow was found dead, having fallen over a bank. It was noticed that clinging to the end of almost every hair of the cow's hide were innumerable lice. An effort was made to roup hi y estimate their number, and by inking a patch six inches snuaie :md counting them 'ind multiplying the remaining space a conservative estimate put the number of lice on the cow in question at the incredible number of half a million. A farmer present made the observation that almost half the cows irr the Waikato were infected with lice in the winter and early spring, and also that in his opinion this reduced their milk yield at least one quarter. Just reckon the astounding waste. If half the herd-; In the. Waikato are infected with lice, and a-quaiter of their yield lost to th» i'armer, it means "that thousands ol pounds every year i go to feed the?" hungry parasites. Here, then, is t remedy: Buy a Tin ! of "THOMPSON'S LICERINE," and I sun it' a little down the animal's , back. Licerine kills them all. An j absolutely new preparation, wonderful in its results.
