FRANKLIN RACING CLUB.

EXECUTIVE MEETING. The committee *>f the franklin Pacing Club met in the A. and P. Society's ofllce on Monday evening, when there wee present; Messrs C. Clarke, A. F. Brown, S. Clews, 11. It i I key. It. H. McGough, 11. (!. Lysnar, C- McCorniick, G. Weston 11. Stuart. W. Taylor, Dynes Fulton, AV. Hawke, E. C. Cull", Jas. Kennelly, G. 11. Armstrong, It. Cornthwaite, and the* secretary (Mr. A. P. Daysh). In the absence of the president, Mr. W. Claud Motion, the vice-president, Mi - . C. Clarke, presided. The question of fixing a date for the first race meeting under, the club's auspices was discussed. Eventually Mr. Clarke moved and Mr. Brown seconded that the meeting be held on Saturday, February 5, 1921. Carried. , Sixteen new members were duly elected. Owing to having left the district, Mr. E. R. Allen tendered his resignation as a member of the club. On the motion of Messrs. Fulton and Brown the resignation was accepted with regret. The advisability of appointing a representative to act for and give evidence if necessary on the club's behalf to the commission set lip to deal with the question of the distribution of totalisator permits was considered. Mr. Fulton moved and Mr. Bilkey seconded that the matter he left in the hands of Messrs Clarke, Brown, Armstrong and the secretary, with power to act.—Carried.

It was resolved to make a charge of two shillings for admission to the course on race day. It was decided to allot 3tillso\s. in stake money, made up as Follows, tfic following programme beingq approved:—Maiden Handicap, ' six furlongs, of 40sovs.; Bombay Welter, one mile, of lOsovs.: Franklin ("up. one and a-quarter miles of lOOsovs.: Kamurama Hunters' Hurdler, two miles, of JOsovs.; Waiuku Hack Handicap, seven furlongs, of -lOsovs.; Tua kau flying Handicap, six furlongs, of tCisovs.: Borough Hack Handicap, six furlongs, of lOsovs.
