The foregoing unlet contracts include stone urgently required for road purposes, totalling 26,000 cubic yards. If satisfactory prices can be obtained the riding members and engineer were authorised to act.

Contracts advertised: Tenders arc invited, returnable on Wednesday, the 20th inst., for 14 contracts as per attached lists. 1 would suggest that the riding members interested in the different contracts be authorised to confer with myself and accept suitable tenders received. Existing contracts: There are at present contracts let and in progress throughout the county numbering 35. Contract No. 420: For forming four portions of the Moumoukai Valley Road, A. McNeil and party, contractors.

Teams' Plant: The No. 1 County learns plant is at present working in the Puni district, Pukekohe West riding, and is shortly to start re-form-ing the Pukekohe-Paerata road to enable metalling to be proceeded with at an early date.

The No. 2 teams plant is completing seme work on the Great South Road, Drury riding, and is to start the formation of Mercer and Victoria Street. Runciman (Mauku riding) almost immediately.

Crushing and Hauling Plants: The No. 1 portable crushing plant owing to shortage of coal Had to stop crushing operations, and is now in the county yard. The new Hadiiekl crusher has come to hand, and is being erected on carriage with elevator, etc., ready for portable crushing. The No. 2 Thornycroft tipping truck will be delivered' within the next few days. With the available plant this coming summer all procurable stone should be put on the different roads. The report ww adopted with the amendments.
