NOTICE is hereby given -that it is the intention of the Franklin County Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Counties' Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and Amendments thereto, to Borrow the sum of EIGHTEEN THOUSAND POUNDS, (£18,000) for the purpose of purchasing Machinery and Plant for Road Construction purposes, AND, as security for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan, to make .and levy a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Franklin.
