MOTOR ACCIDENT.

COLLISION WITH POST. TWO PERSONS INJURED. A motor accident whereby Mr. Ryan, a son of Mr. J. Ryan, hotelkeeper,, at Papakura, and his cousin, Miss Hazel Glynn, were seriously injured, occurred at Papakura on Friday evening at about 10 p.m. Owing to the reticience of those concerned it is difficult to ascertain full and correct details of the manner in which the accident occurred. It is understood, however, that Mr. Ryan was driving the car, the other occupants being his cousin and two men. It would appear that the car was being driven down the road at ;i comparatively fast rate, and that when opposite the hotel, the driver trot too far to the side of the road

I ;md collided with a telegraph post. The impact thus caused was heard some distance away, The post bears evidence of the collision, pieces being chipped off, while the car itself appears a wreck. Miss Glynn* who is the more seriously injured of the two, was picked up unconscious and taken into the hotel, She did not recover consciousness for gome time, and her condition was at first considered grave It is now stated that there is u slight improvement. Mr. Kyan suffered severe injuries to the arm, and was taken to the Auckland: Hospital. I
