FIRE BRIGADE PICTURES. TO-MORROW NIGHT. The special programme arranged for to-morrow's pictures, which is being shown on behalf of the Pukekohe firemen to help raise funds for the purpose of procuring a roll of honour, will consist of a late topical gazette, a two-reel comedy, and a six-reel drama. Anita Stewart stars in the drama.
Skating.—This afternoon and evening; also, Thursday and Friday. A carnival is being arranged to close the season. The date will be announced later. SPECIAL ATTRACTION.

MILITARY BALL. A military Ball is advertised to be held in the Patumahoe Hall on Monday, October 4. COLLEGE BALL. Under the auspices of King's College Old Boys of Papakura and district a ball will be held in the Papakura Hall on Wednesday, October 6. Particulars are advertised. S HUNT CLUB BALL. An annual event greatly looked forward to by people from many parts of the district is the Ramarama Hunt Club ball, to be held this year on Friday, October 29, in the Ramarama Hall. Fine music and a splendid floor are promised, and also a sit-down supper. Out of consideration for people living at a distance the grand march will not commence until 8.30.
