ONEWHERO FOOTBALL CLUB

grand ball. SUCCESSFUL AND BRILLIANT FUNCTION. The Onewhero Football Club brought the 1920 football season to a close with a grand ball, held on Friday, September 10. The function was an unqualified success, close on 100 couples indulging in dancing to exoellent music provided by Walker's orchestra till the early hours of the morning. The success of the ball wa6 due to the untiring efforts of the ladies' committee, to whom sufficient praise cannot be given for the really excellent supper provided, and for the decorations. The marquee and supper tables, decorated in purple and gold by the use of violets, primroses, and daffodils, relieved with greenery, looked like a fairy bower. Parsons was also presented with a handsome gold medal b\« his fellow-members of the junior team for goal kicking and excellent play throughout the season.
