The "Times" recently published an article in reference to the discovery of a deposit of shingle in the bed of the Waikato River, near Ohinewai. which the Firth Pumice Company propose to develop. Wynyard, of the Auckland Automobile Association, said the discovery should solve the problem of decentlv-nietalled roads in the district, and should enable the authorities to put the RangiririHuntlv road into good order.
