TUAKAU TOWN BOARD

PRE ELECTION MEETING.

Mr. Wm. Pirret offered the board a site in Liverpool Street, opposite the post office, as a town hall r.ite for £7OO.

For the same purpose Mr. Geo. S, Lapwood offered two sites for <:3GO or one site for £l9O.

Mr. T. K. Paterson, of Mercer, offered two sections for £730.

It was made a recommendation to the new board that a delegate be reappointed to represent the board on the Waikato River Vigilance Committee, which will meet at-Mercer on Saturday, September 18. It was decided to hold a meeting of ratepayers on Tuesday night at 8 o'clock to diiguss the loan proposal of £7OOO form: memorial hall.
