Some of the districts comprising the Franklin County are apparently beginning to show a little interest in the forthcoming triennial election. Our last issue mentioned a probable candidate for the new Mauku riding in the person of Mr. E. ('. Cuff, and we now understand that Mr. John R. Lowiy has consented to accede to numerous requests to stand for election for the Diury riding. Mr. Lowry has been n councillor in the Raglan County for 17 years, having only re quired to contoirt the Whangape riding on the first occasion at the be ginning of thai lengthy period.
