MERCER.
SUPPLIERS' MEETING. A meeting of local suppliers to the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Association was held at Mercer on Tuesday evening. Mr. Dynes Fulton, a director of the association, presided over a good attendance. An interesting resume of the work of the company was given by Mr. Sinclair, the assistant-manager. In dealing with the prospects for the coming season, Mr. Sinclair said the outlook for both butter and cheese producers was more satisfactory than during the past few years. A price equal to 2s 6d per lb, f.0.b., Auckland, would probably be realised for the exportable surplus of butter, but the contract had not yet been formally signed. Messrs. "Kelly, R. Aylett and R. Glass were elected a committee for Mercer.
