BEAUTIFYING PROSPECT TERRACE

RESIDENTS' REQUEST.

With a view of making Prospect Terrace one of the beauty spots of Pukekohe, Mr. R. F. Webster, representing the residents, waited on the Borough Council with a requeßt that trees be planted along the edge of the footpath. He pointed out that he had obtained the consent of all parties interested excepting two, whom he hoped to gain very shortly. The fact of planting trees would greatly beautify the appearance of the street, and the residents solicited the council's assistance in the matter. They suggested that native trees be planted about 'half a chain apart. The Mayor thought the object one that should be encouraged.

Eventually the matter was left in the hands of the works and domain committees with power to act.
