GRAND MOVIE BALL. BRILLIANT SUCCESS^ On Wednesday night last in the picture'theatre the grand movie ball took place, and was an unqualified success from every point of vfcw. Visitors from Papakura, Onehunga, Alfriston and WaISJtJHj were present, and the long string of motor-cars outside the theatre gaie the street quite an animated appearance. The music, provided by Messrs Walkers' orchestra, and the floor be-
ing in good order, made dancing highly enjoyable. Much of the success of the evening was due to Mr. G. J. Rogers, who carried out the secretarial duties, and to the enthusiastic committee, who worked hard before and during the function. The theatre was beautifully decorated, which was carried out entirely by the M.C's, who were Messrs. G. J. Rogers, T. J. Corin, Jas. McGuire and R. D. Johnston. A nice supper was provided, and Mrs. Corin, assisted by a num- w ber of young ladies, attended to the wants of the guests. Many handsome dresses were worn, among which we mention the following (apologies to those omitted):— Mesdames G. Osborne (handsome f evening dress), Peebles (cream, net over pink), Laird (grey crepe de - chine): Misses M. Dufiin (blue crepe de c bine and georgette), Peebles - (white net, blue trimmings), E.
