-"'"BOMBAY. ANGLICAN CHURCH CONCERT. A very successful concert was held jhfthe Bombay Hall on Friday. last of tho Anglican Church fund, hall staple had b«cn tastefully Ttfflcrirated. The Rev. C. H. Vaughan made a humorous and efficient chairman, and the following' programme was enjoyed by the large audience which filled the building. Pianoforte duets, Misses Sharp and Ingram; songs, Mr. Coker; violin solos, Mr. K. H. Trimmer; songs with ukaleleau, Mrs. Collins; songs, Mr. F. Bullen; recitation, Rev. C. H. Vaugnan; song, Mr. C. H. Vaughan; some humour, Mr. Trimmer; ' quartette, Mesdames Vaughan and Sitt and Messrs. Bullen and Macdonald; song, Mr. Bear; trio, Messrs. Coker, Bullen and Macdonald; recitation, Mr. Macdonald; duet, Mrs. Vaughan and Mr. Bullen; humorous song, Mr. R. Trimmer. After supper the hall was cleared, and dancing to the splendid music of Messrs Cossey (violin) and Morgan (piano) was thoroughly enjoyed by the devotees of the light fantastice. Mr. H. J. Flay acted as M.C.

PAPAKURA. TOWN BOARD. ADJOURNRD MEETING. The Papakura Town Board, which adjourned at a late hour on Monday night, continued its meeting the following night, when there were present: Messrs. E. D. McLennan (chairman), J. Rue, T. I). Campbell, S. Evans, 1). W. Jones, Dr Brookfield, also the clerk (Mr. A. L. Cooper). Building permits were granted to Mr. E. Clarke (Methodist Parsonage), and Mr. Markwick. More Pipes. On the motion of Mr. Campbell, seconded by Dr. Brookfield, it was carried that 18 6in and 30 9in pipes be ordered. Tennis Courts. It was decided that tenders be advertised for for work to be done on courts. Mr. Jones to meet representatives of'the tennis club and draw up specifications for tenders. Great South Road. On the motion of Mr. Campbell, seconded by Mr. Rea, it was agreed that Mr. Gannon, the board's engineer, be asked to call tenders to bring the .wxkt South Road to its permanent level, also metal it from the Globe Hotel to the Courthouse; also to reform, and rectify the danger that exists from that part of the roaa in the vicinity of Mr. A. "Willis' property. Top-dresiiiig for Bowling Green. It was resolved that surface soil from the old Wairoa Rosj'd be secured to top-dress the bowling green. Marne Road. The golf club members played a "foursomes" match, married v, single. ?'n Saturday last, when a verji erljoyble afternoon was spent. Annual Meeting. The annual meeting of the Papa loira Bowline Club was held on July ?<), Mr. D. W. Jones presiding over p fair attendance. The minutes of the previous annual meeting were confirmed, and the report and balancesheet accepted, a small credit balance being shown. The following officers were elected: Patron, Right Hon. W. F. Massey; president. Mr. J. Seaton; vice-pre:.J Honts, Mr. A. Willis, Mr. D. W Jones; secretary and treasuier, Mr J E. Elliott; green superintendent. Mr. D. J. McLennan; committee Messrs. Seaton, Jones, Bates, E. D. MeLennarrand secretary. It was resolved to write to Mr. I). McLennan thanking him for his voluntary attention to the green during the past season.
