GRAND CONCERT
AID OF TECHNICAL SCHOOL FUNDS.
As the technical School building advances t< wa.ys completion ii is realised iiioi'e and more the splendid : sset it is going to be to the district. Enough can be seen at present to give some idea" of how imposing and handsome it will he when finished. as it does on some of the highest ground in fs vicinity it can be seen from many directions, especially line views being obtained fron\ the railway and the mail) street. All that is necessary now is for tlx- residents of the town to see that the extra land under offer is secured, and in that connexion wc would like to draw attention to the concert to bo held in the Premie/ Hall on Thursday. July 29. This is the first active move ma.de in the direction of raising funds for that purpose, and as we are led to believe the concert will be a first-rate one, leading talent from Auckland as well as the best local having pro-, mised to assist. We heartily recommend it to our readers? and trust that a substantial start will be made i<> buy the extra land on the night of the concert.
