The following appreciation of the patriotic services of the Ngatikiriahi (Waikato) tribfc has been received from Her Excellency Lady Liverpool, in a letter addressed to the secretary (Mrs. Waipaera T. "I thank you, too, for the gifts and good wishes you have sent to me through Mis. Pomare. Wc all owe her a debt of gratitude for her organisation and untiring efforts. Kia Ora! I shall never forget you.—Annette Liverpool." The secretary of the Lady Liverpool's and Mrs. Pomare Maori Soldiers' Fund (Miiia Woodbine Pomare? has advised that a framed photo of the committee would be a graceful gift to Ladv Liverpool on the eve of her departure from the Dominion, the framework to be of Maori carved design, with the badge of the Maori Pioneer Battalion in the centre.
