WEDDING BELLS
BROWNE-WATSON.
A quiet wedding was solemnised at the home of the bride's parents, Pukekohe, on Wednesday last, Rev. J. Olphert officiating, when Mr. Wilfred Victor Browne, son of Mrs. and Mr. G. Browne, of Pajpatoetoe, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Miss Jane,t Elizabeth Watson, eldest daughter of Mr. W. R. and Mrs. Watson, of Pukekohe. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a grey tweed travelling costume, a smart black and grc-en hat, while she carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white flowers and ferns. She was attended by her sister, Miss I. R. Watson, as bridesmaid, who wore a maroon tweed costume. Mr. A. Browne, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. After the ceremony, a number of guests sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast.- The toast of the bride and bi idegroom was proposed by Rev. J. Olphert in felicitous terms, i.nd re' sponded to by the bridegroom, a returned soldier, in a very neat little s-peech. The toast of the bridesmaid was proposed by Mr. Browne. Both toasts were duly honoured. Subsequently Mr. and Mrs. Browne departed for Te Aroln, where the honeymoon is being spent. They will in future reside in Pukekohe.
