Good heavy hens and prime roosters show an upward tendency. The advertised poultry sold under keen competition and realised v«ry satisfactory prices. Ducks in good demand. j.j Pigs: Heavy Jsupply and values much lower. '*-' r , Potatoes and onions market has an casing tendency. Large shipment of Southern potatoes now airiviag, and buyers will pay much higher rates for them than for locals. Pumpkins: Market overstocked and sales slow. Butte;', eggs and bacon selling well. Fruit market glutted. Values low. We quote:— Poultry" (3850 penned): Prime heavy hens 5s Gd to 6s 9d, good 5s to 5s 4d, ordinary 3s to 4s. young White Leghorns 4s to 4s "d, pullets (white) 4s 9d to 8s 6d.
