OBSEQUIES.
TROOPER JAIKES McFADDEN.
The funeral of the late Trooper James McFadden, 13/8, of Patumahoe. was conducted yesterday, interment taking place in the Mauku Cemcjtery. There was a large following', deceased having been very popular and highly respected in the district. The ceremonies consisted of services at
the graveside by the Rev. J. P. Cowie, Anglican vicar of Pukekohe; Messrs. W. Henton and R. J. Harris, representing the Masonic Lodge of Waiuku; and military honours wei'e given under Area Oificer Lieutenant A. R. Hatt, a volley being fired, and the "Last Post" tendered by Mr. J. Hindman.
