WAIKATO MARKET REPORT. The Farmers' Co-Operat've Auctioneering Co., Ltd., Hamilton, reports weekly sales as follows: Beef: Beef has been in small sunply at most of ur yards, values have declined. There is however a considerable amount of totf being held. With the clcsing dfwn of the freezing works grazers Ore face to face with a rather anxious period. Mutton: Mutton is in siiiall supply and drawing fair competitija. FrrKvard sheep for turnips are in strong demand. Store Cattle: Store cattle fener ally are dull, although culvos show an advancing tendency, especially heifers. The same may be uid of heifers a year older. Store Sheep: Store ewes unless in forward condition are easier. Good lambs and wethers are still being sought after. Dairy Cr.ttle: Reports from clearing sales throughout the district are satisfactory. Dairy neifers hn\e however, shown a marked decline, which was not unexpected. It is nevertheless fairly safe to predict that this is but temporary, «r K -! that as soon is the surplus lines now offering have been withdrawn, matters will again right themselves. Pigs. No class of stock has suffered more in the general descent than bacon pigs. 'lnert.- h p.-glut in all markets witnyia immediate pros pect of improvement. Heifers: Jersey 2yr in calf £l3 10s to £l7; Shorthorn in calf £9 10s to £10; Shorthorn 2yr £7 to £B. Wethers: Prime shorn 34s to 38s; medium 28s 6d to 325. Ewes: Prime shorn 28s 6d to 31s. Store wethers: 4-tooth 30s to 345; 2-tooth 27s to 30s. Pigs: Baconers £5 5s to £7; porkers £4 to £4 15s; weaners £1 to £1 10s. Horses: Heavy draughts £4O to £SO; medium draughts £35 to £4O; light draughts £22 to £2B; harness £ls to £22; hacks £9 to £lB.
