PERSONAL.
Mr. W. S. Russell who was lately in the Auckland Hospital, has made what Dr. Robertson described as the quickest recovery he had known, being able to leave the hospital within fourteen days, despite two operations and an attack of bronchitis supervening. The doctor ascribed the rapid recovery to the patient's clean living. Mrs Nathan, an old pioneer, passed peacefully away at Patumahoe on April 17 at the age of 73 years. Mrs Nathan was the wife of the late Thomas Wellington-Nathan, late resident of Palmerstdn North. Having resided there for many years she has many friends in that district, and is well known for her many acts of kindness. She is survived by two sons and one daughter—Mr. Fred Cuinmings, of Raurimu; Mr. James Cummings, of Patumahoe; and M.s. W. Prentice, of Waeitenga.
