. revaluation asked for. The matter of Pukekohe Borough valuations was discussed at Wednesday night's meeting of the council. The Mayor stated that the valui tM,ns of iho borough were very cr iPtic, and a revaluation was neces sary. It might be an unpopular move but as the values were not on any thing like an equitable basis, then was nothing else to do. As far a borough rates were concerned, tl;< people would be no worse oft', as th rales would be reduced. Cr. J. Patterson seconded. Cr. A. P. Daysh moved and Cr K. H. McGough seconded an ameiu Ijjent that no action be taken. Thi supported by the mover and sec •Render and Cr. I). Morrow. —Lost. motion that the Valuation Dt partment be asked to revalue w. then put and carried. The Mayor explained th it it wui.l probably be three years before tl levaluation was made.
