LYCEUM PICTURES." "THE BRAND." Rex Beach has been responsible lor the entertainment in book form to some extent of practically the whole of the BMtish speaking people, and 06 late his productions have taken a wider circle in the form of pictures. "The Brand," one of his strongest Alaskan stories, is down for screening at the Premier Hall to-morrow (Wednesday) evening. "The Brand" is a great story in a great setting, and the three chaiac-te;-s in the leading roles are outstanding in realism, sincerity 01* expression and artistry. This picture. which is considered to be equai to "The Spoilers,'' is being shown at ordinal'/ prices. The picture is 70(Klft in length, and with a topical gazette. runs the whole programme. THE DANDIES. TUESDAY, APRIL 27. The 1920 company of Edward Bianscombe's Dandies will make a welcome appearance at the Premier Hall on the above date. It is a long time since a really good musical combination has visited Pukekohe, and there is little doubt that the nublic generally will not let the opportunity that' this visit oilers go by the board. It is a frequent cry that Pukekohe does not often receive visits from the. companies appearing in the big centres. While there may be some ti'uth in this, the fault is largely due to the apathy of the public in not giving the support that is necessary to induce more frequent visits. This company is composed of new artists,'and a popular and successful tour of New Zealand has been the result.
