PUKEKOHE V. NEWMARKET, The above teams will meet on Saturday at Pukekohe at 10 a.m. Pukekohe will be represented by Blake (2), Schlaepfer (3), Fitness (2), Cossey, C. Clarke, Lodge, O'Malley, Hewitt. Hill and Harriman.
In our last issue we remarked cn the "demise" of the Marlborough Express and the Tuakau Press. Now we note still another "fatality." The Pelorous Guardian, published at llavelock ceased publication on Saturday. The editorial adieu says: "It has been a long and weary struggle during the horrible world war. Although the aftermath proved too powerful for our weakened frame, we have done our best in the interest of the district and Dominion." The price of newsprint and all kinds of stationery is bound to kill many other papers.
