FOOTBALL

CLUB FORMED AT PATUMAHOE. A meeting of those interested in the formation of a football club at Patumahoe was held on Wednesday night, Mr. C. R. Shipherd pr#?idin<? over a large attendance. Eventually a club was formed, ami it was decided to enter a team for the junior grade. Mr. S. Forbes was appointed the club's delegate on the Franklin Rugby Union. Mr. T. B. Bailey was elected president, Mr. C. Dale captain, Mr. M. Irwin vice-captain and Mr. C. R. Shipherd secretary. It was decided that the club's colours should be blue and black. The first practice will be held oi Saturday next.
