MANUREWA AUTUMN SHOW

The Manurewa autumn show was held on Saturday afternoon and evening last in the new picture theatre. There was a large attendance, and the show was :i great success. The Papakura Orchestra 'liscoursed an enjoyable musical programme. Mr. Downs, judge of the vegetable and farm produce, congratulated the officials and exhibitors on the very line exhibition. For the best, farmer's garden Mr. Seager, of Weymouth Road, was placed first, the judge complimenting the owner on the high state of proficiency he had attained. The judges were as follows: Mr. Roscoe, cut flowers, pot plants and decorative; butter, eggs, needlework, Mesdames Lennard and Wastne-y, of Papatoetoe: cookery and preserves, Mrs. Harold Walters, Takan'fni: writing and drawing (children's section), Miss Turney; photography, Enos S.
