NEW BRIDGE PROPOSED
KING TO EAST STREETS. Speaking at the Pukekohe thorough \ Council netting on Wednesday night, Cr. J. Patterson said he understood the Railway "Department proposed ,to wicluv fhe Manukau Road bridge "JWd widen the road leading to the station. Now was the time to ask that a bridge be put on an angle from King,to East Street, .ind allow the present bridge to I'emain as it is to serve Manukau Road traffic. He suggested that representations be made to the Minister for Railways. II was decided to ask the assistance of the Chamber of Commerce and the' Franklin A. and P. Society. Qr» »fi, R. On Cr.. r K\lirrson's motion the council decided to take the matter up* and that the Chamber of Commerce ftnd the A. and P. Society be asked to co-operate.
