WIRTH BROS CIRCUS, LTD.

The Wirth Bros, with the whole of their big circus and menagerie, will pay Pukekohe a visit on Thursday, March 11, for one night only, the huge menagerie being opened from 4 to 5 in the afternoon. The Messrs. Wirth this year have far surpassed all their previous efforts, and have got together an enterprise so vast and meritorious in its educational features that it can truthfully claim to be absolutely the greatest show ever seen in Australasia. The menagerie is an education in itself, comprising trained lions, tigers, elephants, leapards and bears. Among the new artists are the Eddy Duo, who perform on a silver wire, turning somersaults—the only act of its kind in the world: the Garcia Bros. a troupe of world-famous acrobats, whose tumblins has astounded three continents: Mdlle Bell Onra, a beautiful and dashing international gymnast on the trapeze, excelling in marvellous feats of strength: the Cevine troupe of six wire-walkers in an act entitled "The Maniacs of the Wire, are more than expert wire-walkers. Thev run and perform acrobatic feats on the wire, apparently as much at home on the wire as if they were on the ground. The Zoe Sister, 'The Human "Aeroplanes," fully merit the description. They fly and whirl through the air, butterfly fashion, from a steel circle depending on their teeth. The Flying Winskills and Charlie Chaplin clown do a wonderful aerial trapeze act, which mystifies the audience. Better artists have never been seen in Australasia. The Charlie Chaplin clown is indeed funnv. One is apt to believe that Charlie himself has left the screen and appeared in the circus ring*. Also the marvellous Howards, thought readers. The Loop of Death on the trapeze by Leo Montfort is a highly sensational and dangerous performance, and one that holds you spellbound. Silly Danny and his flock of trained ueese. , Ye Act Beautiful, produced by Mr Tex Bailey, America's foremost animal trainer, is undoubtedly a clever performance. Trained horses, dogs and sheen stand in groups of modern statuary like pieces of alabaster. The whole of this great performance will be produced in addition to Wirth Bros' great programme of performing lions, elephants, horses, ponies, equestrienne-;, jockeys, clowns, high jumping horses and ponies, etc. This is really a wonderful programme. The la rue zoo opens from 4 to 5 ren (id. when the wild MJNHfThena tax), children (id, when the wild animals will be fed.
