HORSE ILL-TREATED
SJL COURT, THURSDAY. For cruelly ill-treating a horse, by working it with a sore shoulder, Mrs Morley and her daughter, Dorothy, of Pukeoware, Waiuku, were asked to explain the reason. It wear explained that defendant was in jWJier an unfortunate poaiWorship took a lenient ttj case under the circumstances, convicting defendant and ordering her to pay costs 7s and impounding fees 15s. The charge against the daughter was dismissed, Mr. Hunt finally pointing out that he intended to deal pith women as he dealt with men offenders.
