DRAINAGE BORINGS

SATISFACTORY INDICATIONS. Reporting to the Pufcekbhe Borough Council on Wednesday night in regard to the borings for a suitable drainage strata in the borough, the engineer, Mr W. Wyatt, said that the bore had been put down 150 ft, and a strata of good blue metal had been arrived at. The water in the bore had dropped from 12ft to 10ft. On being tested, though » great volume of water had been flooded into the bore, the level had not been raised at all. This was an excellent sign, and better results still were confidently hoped for.
