WEDNESDAY
The story of "Raffles/' the amateur cracksman, is almost too well known to invite description. The story is from the famous novel and play by E. W. Hornung. For those who have not had the good fortune to read this book some of the episodes outline the story of the finest gentleman, the be.it cricketei, the most romantic burglar, who helped himself to help others. The affair of the great rose pearl, and the thrilling escape from the liner in mid-ocean. The pursuit and capture oT the Melrose diamonds, the duel of wits, and thrilling escape through a clock, and a host of other sensations. Altogether it is a picture of intense interest, and every moment is pregnant with expectation. Copies of Raffles are obtainable at The Bookery.
THURSDAY, "QUEEN OF THE SEA.'
Annette Kellerman, champion swimmer and favourite screen actress, is the amphibious star of the William Fox super - production, "Queen of the Sea," which comes to the Premier Hall on Thursday next.
