DANGEROUS CROSSINGS
REPRESENTATIONS SUPPORTED BY FRANKLIN COUNCIL. The Invercargill Borough Council forwarded the following resolution to the Franklin County Council yesterday, soliciting support in the matter: "That this council bring under the notice of the Government the urgent necessity of providing' safeguards in respect to level railway crossings, and that other councils be asked to co-operate in pressing this matter upon the • Government." — Strongly supported.
