D Johnston has opened at up-to-date cash grocery business in the new picture theatre buildings Groceries of all d iscrijtions are staked, and intending patrons are astured of a first class article at possible prices. Mr Johnston is alfrO prepared to deliver the goods at patrons' very door. He solicits a trial and guarantees satisfaction. NBW PICTURE THEATRE Work in connexion with the new picture theatre at Manurewa is progressing s'eadily and in a very short space of time the premises will be officially opened. HALF HOLIDAY. A meeting of Manurewa residents will be held on Thursday next, when the question of fixing the statutory half holiday will be considered. RECREATION GROUND. It appears from all accounts, that the Manurewa Town Board, is no further ahead with reference to the purchase of a recreatioa ground, or its loan proposals. We understand that part of the land the Board intended to acquire for a recreation ground has been disposed to a private individual, who intends to erect a modern bungalow, facing Hill road
