Mr J. Hickey, a very old resident of Pukekohe, was taken to the Auckland Hospital a few days ago, suffering from pneumonia. Mr C. Monty Wright was admitted to the Auckland Hospital on Saturday night. We understand he underwent an operation for sppeadixitis, and his condition was critical at the time of writing.
Mr James McFadden, of Pukekohe, is proceeding to Sydney about the end of this we»k, by the Royal Mail Steamer " Makura," en route to Queensland, where he intends to recuperate his health, which has been exceedingly indifferent since his return from service with the Main Body, N.Z-.8.F.
