NATIONAL PROHIBITION^ Nominations of persons to appoint scrutineers in accordance with the Licensing Act, 1008, and the amendments thereto, in respect of each of the said proposals must he lodged with me not later than five o'cl ck in the afternoon of the 9th day of December, 1919 And I hereby give notice that I shall on the 12th day of December, 1919, at the hour of 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at my office in Courthouse, Pukekohe, publicly consider all nominationpapers of persons to appoint scrutineers which havo been duly lodged in respect of the said Licensing Poll Dated at Pukekohe this 2nd day of December, 1919 JOHN PATTERSON, 169 Returning Officer. NOTICE OF POLLING DAY IN pursuance of the Legislature Act, 1908, and its Amendments, I, John Patterson Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Franklin, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing dato the 28th day of November, 1919, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as member for the said district; and that the latest hour for receiving nominations of candidates will be Noon on the Bth day of December 1919 ; and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several pollingplaces of the said district on the 17th dav of December, 1919 Every man desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two electors of the district, by a nomination paper as prescribed by section 105 of the said Act, delivered to the Returning Officer on or before Noon on the Bth day ot December, 1919.
