The Rama Rama Bchool Peace Celebrations were held in Mr D. Lynch's paddock on Tuesday, November 11th Proceedings began at 11am. when on the discharge of a signal gun all observed the two minutes silence and cessation from movement as commanded by the King. The sports were then gone on with, and resulted as under : Std. 3, 80yds (boys)—Trevor King 1, Frank Allen 2. Girls Jessie Kitson 1, Violet Baker 2.

Fire Alarm Race—Geo Peters 1, Hy Baker 2. Potato Race - S Barker 1, O Cum mins 2.
High Jump—F Cummins 1, W Hughes 2. Relay Race (boys) Barker's team 1, Trimmer's team 2 Girls— Ruth Bradbury's team 1, Jessie Kitson's team 2.
Old Boys Race—Chas Flay 1, Jno Garbolino 2.
At 2 p m the biggest crowd ever seen in Ramarama met in the School, when the School Roll of Honour was unveiled by Mr W. Claud Motion (Chairman of the Franklin County Council) Mr Motion said it was very gratifying to note that the number of names represented more than 10 per cent of the total roll number. The young men of the district had nobly responded to duty's call. The headmaster was then called on to distribute souvenir books to all children present He took the opportunity of expressing his appreciation of the work of the Bchool Committee. It had always been his good fortune to work with a first-class committee, but never had he had harder workers than the present committee. Tbis part of the proceedings ended with the National Anthem.
In the evening a fio9 fireworks display was given, of which perhaps the unrehearsed effect created the great sensation The time-honoured dance concluded a most successful gathering.
